Nikki & Joe | Oak Hill Farm Galena Wedding

As the moon climbs high over dead oak tree, guests arrive for the midnight spree. Friendly folks with eager eyes, start to laugh and harmonize. Grinning guests come out socialize. -modified from Grim Grinning Ghosts (the Haunted Mansion Theme)

I don’t always stay in Rockford. In fact I spend quite a bit of time photographing weddings near Galena, and Oak Hill Farm is one of my favorite spots. Plus, Nikki and Joe are just plain awesome. Period. (When I spell out punctuation you know I’m serious).


I mean, their wedding featured dogs in bow ties, a Haunted Mansion themed cake, an actual mansion that may-or-may-not be haunted, home-brewed craft beer, wine made by the groom, paper flower bouquets made by the bride, spooky music playing as guests arrived, a creepy rocking horse, a stop in downtown Galena, and enough random animals to start our own petting zoo.
